GIVEAWAYS

After last week’s giveaway I was trying to make up my mind on what to give out this week as a prize to one amazing V.  It was not until a couple of days ago that it dawned on me, and mostly due to the comment one V left on Facebook (thank you, Chelsea!)–something sweet, especially now that I began to work on my second dessert e-book: Sweet Cravings, which I hope to have done before Sprout comes out.

One of my favorite desserts, although I have those very rarely (I simply prefer savory foods), is Dark Chocolate Brownie Coconut Bliss ice cream.  It is an awesome substitute to all non-vegan ice creams, and the best part is it has only a few ingredients–ALL of which I am able to understand and approve of.  Although agave syrup is not something you will ever find in my household, this dessert is an exception where I would allow myself to eat it.  And Coconut Bliss, to date, is the only vegan ice cream that I totally, 100% enjoy to eat.  It is rich, creamy and… well, ice-creamy!  It blows other vegan options out of the water with its taste.  Having tasted it once… well, I do not think I ever bought another vegan ice cream since! EVER! And certainly have not even mentioned any other ones on my site… that is how amazing the product is and how loyal I am to its taste and quality.

I was blown away by the entries of the last giveaway. If you have not seen/read them yet, you simply must.  Every story was compelling and tugged on my heart.  I thought I was going to be able to make my decision based on entries myself, but alas… I cannot! If I tried everyone would get everything I could offer… and I would go bankrupt  So, I had to reserve to the  random number picker once again.  It did a great job at doing all of the un-thinking and un-feeling for me and picked entry #2 as the winner, which was done by Amber!

Amber’s Story

Amber’sVegalicious story (entry) is quiet amazing, so I thought I would share it with all of you:

“My story has a beginning and a middle, but it certainly does not have an end. I am still in the middle of my vegalicious journey. It all began with an overweight, sick, lifeless girl. Sufficed to say, meeting Elena and beginning my vegan life has changed my life in ways that I would never have imagined.

Plagued with ailments that included chronic nodular acne, obesity, constant gastric issues,anemia, depression, vitamin A, B, C &  D deficiency, anxiety, my hair was falling out, fatigue,  a thyroid condition, headaches, irritable dry, itchy skin, insomnia and I was a former smoker. Simply put, I was a hot mess! Even worse was the medical advise I received, which mainly consisted of: “We have a pill for that”. The thought of having to take that amount of medication every day was frankly exhausting and not for me. I knew that there had be a way for my body to heal itself. Lucky for me, in walked this this powerful force in a little package, Elena! Through her mentorship, guiding hand, tips, education behind veganism, and exhausting workouts, within two months, almost every single one of my symptoms resolved itself WITHOUT THE HELP OF MEDICATION.  So, do I think that my vegan journey will have an end? Nope, this is only the beginning!”

It is amazing what a resolute mind and will can do for a person! All Amber needed was someone pointing her in the right direction and she was not hesitant even for a moment to take the first step… and have been putting one foot in front of the other since there, healing her body, healing herself.  I am so proud of her!
