A huge part of being successful with healthy eating is planning. Those who do not plan–fail! Simple as that! The best way to plan your success is to pre-plan meals for the week. Once you have your menu down, shopping and food prep become a breeze. I personally always suggest, to old and new health seekers alike, to choose a couple of days during the week when they can pre-cook some of the meals, and prep ingredients for the rest. If you do that–success is your friend. Reaching in the freezer, or the fridge to pull out your next meal is not stressful! If you prep your meals ahead of time, nothing can take you by surprise. You can pre-pack your fridge with chopped veggies, salads, green smoothie, cooked meals. You can cook and freeze grains and legumes, to use them conveniently at a later time. Eating healthy then becomes joyful, rather than stressful. All of your meals can be “made from scratch”. Planning is key!
Yesterday was my day of planning. I had a very rare opportunity to get out of the house ALL by MYSELF! No husband or baby in toe! I hopped in the car, and off I went.

Before leaving, however, I asked Hubby what he wanted to eat this week. He normally defers such decisions to me. This time, however, before I could take a breath, as if he was preparing for this very thing, he fired out his orders… and I was happy to oblige.
