Holiday Recipes & Menu and a Green Smoothie Recipe

Good morning, Loves!  Hope you are having a great one.

My morning is never the same unless I start it off with a green smoothie, to wake up my body and get my digestion going in the right direction.  Although I consume a whole foods, plant based, unprocessed diet, if I ever don’t get enough of my greens in during the day my body does not feel the same.  It is amazing what a glass, or two, of green smoothies does for me!

Today I whipped up a delicious…

Pineapple Dandelion Green Smoothie

yields 3 servings

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups pineapple (or 1 large ring–you don’t have to core it if you have a high speed blender)
  • 1 banana
  • 1-2 cups strawberries
  • 2 tbsp dulse flakes
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 3/4 large bunch dandelion greens

Blend until smooth.

The pineapple gives this blend a fantastic fresh taste to live for ;) .

If you have never had a green smoothie or do not consume green smoothies on a regular basis, you don’t even know what you are missing–the way your body feels and functions can be improved by leaps and bounds by drinking just one or two of these drinks a day… but more about that in the next post :) .

One Very Ca-Ra-Zy Picture & Green Smoothie Cleanse Update

I have been absent from blogging for a few days, but for a good reason–my niece and her hubby are visiting from out of state and we are having fun taking them around the state of Ohio.  Meanwhile, we were able to finish the 3-day Green Smoothie Cleanse, with over 20 participants. Some of the reports already rolled in, and they are quiet awesome.

30-Day Weight Loss Boot Camp

At the same time I am still working with Boot Campers, and they are doing great.  I can hardly believe that we are nearly half way through this challenge.  By the end of the week, by popular demand, I will be opening enrollment for next month’s boot camp, just in time for all of those New Year Resolutions.  So, if you are interested, stay tuned in.  There might even be a very special offer for the first few people to pre-register. ;)

Banana Dandelion Green Smoothie

yields 3 servings

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 large bunch dandelion greens
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp dulse flakes

Blend until smooth and enjoy!

So, my hubby and I are not the shiest of people.  We happened to attend a Christmas party, and being the photography lover that I am, I brought my camera with me to take pictures of all the ugly sweaters people wore.  I cannot show you all of the awesome images of our friends, but I sure can share the one of my love and I–the requirement was for everyone to take one nice family picture, and one CRAZY image… so, you tell me if we met it.  (click to enlarge)
