Inca Warrior Fruit Smoothie Recipe

On the heels of telling you all about the benefits of maca root, here is a fruit smoothie recipe you can enjoy using it.  And, who knows, maybe it will make you feel the way Inca warriors felt before they went off to a battle: brave, energetic and invigorated.

Inca Warrior Fruit Smoothie

makes about 60 oz.

  • 1.5 cup water
  • 1 pear
  • 1/3 pineapple, cut into chunks
  • 2 oranges, peeled and seeded
  • 2-3 cups watermelon with watermelon rind [yes, you can eat it and it is nutritious!]
  • 2-3 oz aloe vera juice
  • 1 tbsp maca root powder [I used Navitas brand]
  • raw honey or any of the syrups [maple, brown rice, agave] for sweetness, if needed

Blend in a high speed blender and enjoy!
