I can hardly believe that it has already been 3.5 weeks since Sprout came into this world. Time is certainly flying by and much of it is a blur due to nearly sleepless nights, dirty diapers and every precious moment I spend with my tiny tot.
While Sprout’s schedule is slowly changing to match that of ours, she is quiet a kid. Unlike most infants who sleep up to 20+ hrs a day, she spends most of her day hours awake and VERY alert, drifting off at only 4 pm, and the back up to her mischief by 11 pm or so (with feedings in between
). I guess it must be all that good food I ate during pregnancy and eat now. By the end of the first week she was already trying to hold and move her head, and by now she is getting better and stronger at it, although, of course, with much of our cautious support. In the last week she also discovered that her legs have more purpose than just flaying around, and when I hold her up to get burped after nursing, she now uses them to try to stand and also push up and away from me. Quiet a kid my Sprout
